Warehouse & Distribution Centre Heating Solution
Powrmatic was selected to supply a large warehouse & distribution centre with an energy-efficient air rotation heating solution for a 40,000m² in the Midlands working in partnership with our trusted and long-serving team at Tidyco who supplied the design and installation for their client providing both heating and ventilation for the building using four external sited TEx61 air rotation heaters.
Tidyco, a long-standing customer of Powrmatic was approached by their client to design an energy-efficient heating system for a large warehouse and distribution centre situated in the Midlands. The 40,000m² facility required to be designed to meet unique requirements which included both heating and ventilation systems. At approximately 435,000ft², the building required heating up in colder weather for workers. The new heating system was not allowed to occupy any space within the warehouse therefore the unit was required to be mounted and fitted externally.
The expert team of Tidyco heating engineers designed and installed a state of the art heating system, which comprised of four Powrmatic TE61 rotation heaters each with an output of 500kW. Due to the size and weight of the units, a certain amount of logistics were involved, which meant the hiring of a crane which was completed by the Tidyco engineers.
Using the external Powrmatic TEx air rotation heater, the facility saved internal space and running costs with the cost-effective heating solution that met their requirements and optimised their warehouse space. The client is extremely satisfied with the finished installation and performance of the heaters. Air rotation technology is ideally suited for the racked warehouses and is specifically designed for the efficient heating of large areas and is especially suitable for open plan warehousing and manufacturing facilities.
