Vehicle Restoration Workshop Heating Solution
In partnership with BT Mechanical, Powrmatic supplied two ErP Compliant suspended LX70kW gas fired heaters to efficiently heat an 1800m² bus restoration and repair workshop.
The workshop building measured approximately 30m wide, 60m long and 8m high. Previously the old 1970s structure had insufficient heating which resulted in the client contacting trusted Powrmatic installers at BT Mechanical who specialise in the Installation and maintenance of commercial and industrial heating services.
After removing two previously condemned inefficient heaters from another manufacturer, BT Mechanical recommended and installed two new energy-efficient LX70kW gas-fired unit heaters to adequately heat the entire workshop. The two new heaters were suspended with new hanging structures. A concentric flue system was installed to bring fresh air in for the burner, and two MC200 controllers were installed to efficiently run the heaters.
The garage workshop, which had been a cold space with wet floors was up to 18°c dry and warm for some very happy mechanics after the installation. The workshop now benefits from a compliant and far more efficient heating system.
