The Rink Indoor Sports Arena Heating

Powrmatic was selected to supply an energy-efficient heating system for Ireland's Largest roller skating rink and multipurpose centre in partnership with our trusted partner BSH. Two Powrmatic LNVx suspended warm air heaters were installed into the indoor sports arena.

Project Background

The Rink is Northern Ireland’s newest and largest Roller Rink. Operated by local charity Powered By Sport, the venue is open to all sports. The Rink is a 16,000 square-foot facility offering a wide range of services including, Ireland’s largest roller skating rink, conference & meeting facilities, inflatable play area and provisions for many indoor sports.

Project Solution

BSH specified and installed two suspended LNVx warm air heating with kW outputs of 40 and 60. The 100m³ centre was without heating off the gas grid. The new heating system has given the centre an energy-efficient solution which keeps customers and staff at the perfect temperature during their day. The heaters were individually controlled by a Powrmatic MC200 for each of the two areas, the seating area and rink itself.

Project Result

The Powrmatic LNVx range of suspended warm air heaters benefits from a redesign throughout its entire construction, performance and aesthetics including the new RAL 7015 colour scheme. the new colour integrated into the multipurpose centre decor seamlessly. The units were LPG fired as it was off the gas grid and worked in conjunction with the existing destratification system.
