Project Background

Tharsus is a leading designer and manufacturer of autonomous system robots, helping companies take advantage of emerging robotics and machine technologies. The company is enjoying substantial growth and recently refurbished an old building at Blyth to accommodate its expansion.

Project Solution

Powrmatic NVx suspended warm air heaters are ensured comfortable conditions at Tharsus’ new manufacturing facility in Blyth, Northumberland. Powrmatic heaters were specified by PremiAir Comfort, which also managed the project, and installed by CK Services 1990 Ltd.

“A key requirement for the refurbishment was installation of an effective and efficient space heating system to ensure the comfort of the workforce,” explained Andy Smith of CK Services 1990 Ltd. “Working to the design by PremiAir Comfort, we installed six Powrmatic NVx heaters, along with all flues and ancillaries. The NVx heaters are located to ensure optimum distribution of warm air throughout the space, whilst the MC200 controllers provide thermostatic control for optimum efficiency,” he added.

Project Result

Powrmatic NVx suspended gas-fired unit heaters are fully compliant with the minimum seasonal efficiency requirements of the Ecodesign regulations for warm air heaters that came into force on the 1^st January 2018. You can read more about the latest ErP legislation for warm air heaters here –
