ABS Radiant Heating was commissioned to upgrade the heating system at a major UK technology facility. Powrmatic supplied three LX warm air heaters, replacing outdated units to enhance heating performance, efficiency, and reliability
The existing heaters were no longer providing sufficient warmth, resulting in poor heat distribution, high fuel consumption, and frequent maintenance. The facility required a modern heating solution to ensure consistent, efficient heating with minimal operational disruption. ABS identified Powrmatic’s LX series as the ideal solution and oversaw the full installation.
ABS undertook a full heating replacement, starting with the safe removal of the two outdated rooftop heaters. In their place, three Powrmatic LX suspended warm air heaters were installed, each carefully positioned to maximise coverage across the facility. The installation also involved upgrading the gas pipework to include new low-loss isolation valves, solenoid shut-off controls, and appropriate test points to ensure safety and compliance. Custom flue systems were fitted to each heater, and final commissioning was carried out to verify full operational performance. The Powrmatic LX range was chosen not only for its high thermal efficiency and ErP compliance but also for its flexible installation features and robust build quality.
The new heating system delivered immediate and measurable improvements. Heat distribution throughout the facility became faster and more consistent, creating a more comfortable environment for personnel and operations. Energy consumption was significantly reduced thanks to the efficient performance of the LX units, and the system’s modern controls provided enhanced reliability and ease of use. ABS completed the installation with minimal disruption to the client’s workflow, and the facility now benefits from a future-proof heating setup that meets all modern efficiency and safety standards.
