Manufacturing Facility Heating Solution
When the lack of a mains gas supply presented a challenge at Anord Mardix’s Kendal facility, Powrmatic worked alongside installation partner Swiftheat Gas Services Limited to deliver a practical and efficient alternative. The result was a bespoke LPG-fired warm air heating system designed around the demands of a live industrial production environment.
Anord Mardix is a global leader in critical power solutions, designing and manufacturing power distribution and monitoring systems for mission-critical environments. At its Kendal production facility, the lack of mains gas created a challenge when specifying an effective and reliable heating system. Working with Powrmatic, Swiftheat Gas Services developed a solution focused on consistent temperatures, zoned control and efficient heat distribution.
Powrmatic supplied a fully zoned industrial LPG heating solution, installed by Swiftheat Gas Services and supported by a bulk LPG supply. The system features two Powrmatic LX90 Duo suspended warm air heaters alongside with 6 CEC destratification fans, which redistribute warm air from roof level back into the occupied space. MC200 time and temperature controls provide efficient zoned operation, while the bulk LPG infrastructure offers a reliable alternative to mains gas. Together, the heating, destratification and controls deliver an efficient solution tailored to the demands of the production environment.
The completed installation provides Anord Mardix with a dependable and energy-conscious heating solution for its Kendal facility. The system improves temperature consistency and operational comfort while providing greater control over how and when different areas are heated. The use of LPG also overcame the lack of mains gas without compromising heating performance. Through close collaboration between Powrmatic, Swiftheat Gas Services and the wider project team, the project delivered a practical, carefully engineered industrial LPG heating solution designed around the specific needs of the facility.
