Garden Centre Heating Solution
In partnership with Bruce Towers & Sons, Powrmatic supplied 4 x ErP Compliant suspended LX25kW gas-fired heaters to efficiently heat a 600m2 Garden Centre in Norwich.
Taverham Garden Centre, located some 6 miles to the northwest of Norwich, is known for its high-quality products, extensive stock lines, competitive prices and first-class customer service. The business has been trading for over 30 years under the same ownership/management, and in that time, has established an excellent reputation both at a local level and throughout East Anglia The building itself was 600m2 it was originally heated by a standard efficiency 150 kW old sectional cast boiler and radiators the system had started to leak over the years, so the decision was to look at the heating.
Bruce Towers & Sons come up with the solution of using 4x Powrmatic LX25v LPG heaters as the noise could have been an issue if they had used just 2 bigger heaters. Each heater had its own MC200 controller and extra vertical louvres along with 4×3 bladed fans and the forward, reverse and variable speed controller. A60m Geberit stainless pressed gas run. Bruce Towers & Sons were assisted with expert electrical help from Fisher Electrical.
The Powrmatic heaters are perform exceptionally well and heat the area better than the radiators ever did and also a lot quicker. This should also make a difference to the energy bills with 50kw less than the existing heat source and high and low fire burners. This could be more important with current energy costs.
