Fabrication Workshop Heating Solution
Powrmatic collaborated with SDF Mechanical to provide a bespoke heating solution for a new fabrication workshop in Mildenhall, Suffolk. By installing two 120kW CPx Oil Floor Standing Cabinet Heaters, we delivered a highly efficient and low-maintenance heating system that exceeded the customer’s expectations.
The customer, a welding and fabricating business, had recently taken on a new premises in Mildenhall. However, the site lacked any form of heating, posing a challenge to maintaining a comfortable and productive working environment. Recognising the need for a reliable and efficient heating solution, they reached out to SDF Mechanical, who in turn involved Powrmatic to design and implement the ideal system.
To meet the unique requirements of the workshop, Powrmatic worked closely with Martin Arden to design a tailored heating system. The solution included the installation of two 120kW CPx Oil Floor Standing Cabinet Heaters, chosen for their high efficiency and reliability. We also installed two new oil tank bases and plastic bunded oil tanks to ensure a safe and compliant fuel storage solution. All-new stainless steel oil supply pipework was designed and installed to ensure seamless fuel delivery to the heaters. SDF Mechanical carried out the installation with precision and expertise, ensuring that the system met all operational and safety requirements.
The customer was thrilled with the outcome. The 120kW CPx heaters operate quietly and efficiently, thanks to the high/low control on the burners. They provide consistent warmth throughout the workshop while consuming minimal energy. The heaters’ efficiency and reliability have significantly impacted the workshop’s environment. The customer expressed great satisfaction, stating that the heaters “just tick over all day and barely know they are there,” highlighting their unobtrusive and effective performance.
