Project Background

CLAAS Western is a distributor of CLAAS farm machinery and has enjoyed considerable expansion in recent years. This has led to the construction of new facilities on a green field four-acre site, which include an 743m² workshop as well as a showroom and warehouse facilities.

Project Solution

CLAAS Tractors Warehouse Heating Solution Four Powrmatic NVx30 warm air heaters, combined with six HCF destratification fans were installed by Arnold Building Services., with the heaters fuelled by liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) supplied by Countrywide LPG.

Powrmatic was recommended by Countrywide LPG and the heaters, with a customised white finish, are installed throughout the building. The HCF fans ensure that the warm air is distributed evenly throughout the spaces for optimum energy performance.

The heating system is served by 3 x 1 tonne bulk storage vessels with a total capacity of 6,600 litres of LPG, supplied by Countrywide LPG, providing a much lower cost per kWh than gas oil or electricity.

Project Result

The Workshop heating is provided by two heaters at each end of the workshop, while the showroom heating and stock room heating use one NVx in each space. This is just one of many projects of which Powrmatic & Countrywide LPG have worked together supplying the heating system and gas supply.
