Powrmatic apprentice Tom Case has been announced as the ICOM Energy Association’s 2015 Apprentice of the Year, winning through against strong competition. He received his award from renowned polar explorer Alan Chambers MBE at the Association’s annual lunch.
Tom Case (22) is employed at Powrmatic’s manufacturing facility at Ilminster, Somerset and has recently completed a two year apprenticeship in Fabrication & Welding. He commented: “I am delighted to have won this award and would like to express my gratitude to both Powrmatic for its support and ICOM for its recognition.”
Phil Brompton added: “Tom has made a strong impression on us all since he joined the company and has proved to be a valuable addition to our workforce. I congratulate him on this very well-deserved achievement.”
Tom joined Powrmatic under the company’s ongoing apprenticeship programme, which will be recruiting a further two apprentices during 2015.
At the same event, Powrmatic Managing Director Phil Brompton received Honorary Life Membership of ICOM in recognition for his contributions to both the industry and the Association.
