We proudly value and support our network of loyal installers who are at the forefront of everything we do. We spoke with our valued engineers at Modern Heating to tell us a bit more about their business and to share their experience of working with Powrmatic.
Tell us a little about you, what you guys do, and how it all began?
Modern Heating have been installing Powrmatic Heaters since 2002. Over the years we have installed various models in many of our clients factories and warehouses alike. Such clients include Bayliss, Future Advanced and Bob Houghton Ferrari.
We cover Gas, Oil and LPG in the both the Commercial and Domestic environment.
How long have you been working with Powrmatic?
Since 2002
Why do you like working with Powrmatic?
We like working with Powrmatic as the product is excellent and easy to sell. The back-up support is second to none. Warranty parts are delivered with speed and the technical department provides excellent support for our engineers at the forefront of our business.
What does a typical day look like for a heating engineer?
Being a heating engineer means you are expected (by the client) to know everything about their boiler/heater and carry spare parts for anything they may need.
In the real world communication is the key to your relationship with the client and building a relationship for the future.
Always do what you promise and don’t make promises you can’t keep. Be honest and open about what you can and can’t do, your client will respect you for this.
Depending on the time of year you can either be manic or have a fairly relaxed day but we still use our time wisely by contacting clients to check that everything is ok and requirements for the future.
Whats the most useful bit of kit in your toolbox?
It has got to be the telephone to be able to contact clients and suppliers as required. Enables engineers to communications delays, changed appointments and having first hand access to the manufacturer and specialist technical assistance, if required.
Whats your favourite Powrmatic product to install and why?
We like installing the Powrmatic Nvx Warm Air Suspended Heaters. We have installed so many of them in differing environments. We believe they are an efficient unit and excellent value for money. Delivery timescales are reasonable and the back-up support from Powrmatic is excellent.
What does the future hold for you, and the HVAC industry as a whole?
We have just employed a new Contracts Manager, the first position of its kind with us so we are looking at expanding our Commercial and Domestic business this year with focused business development across all sectors and targeted marking campaigns. We will also be looking at expanding our Air Conditioning sectors and taking on new clients and engineers in this area.
