We proudly value and support our network of loyal installers who are at the forefront of everything we do. We spoke with our valued engineers at Columbus Mechanical to tell us a bit more about their business and to share their experience of working with Powrmatic.

Tell us a little about you, what you guys do, and how it all began?

Are you looking for contractors with experience in the commercial, retail and leisure industries? We can take your project from the initial enquiry all the way through design installation and handover all with our in house team. Our commercial engineers are fully trained to serve all aspects of our customer requirements.

How long have you been working with Powrmatic?

We have been working with Powrmatic for twelve years as a business however personally i have worked with Powrmatic for 16 years.

Why do you like working with Powrmatic?

We choose to work closely with Powrmatic due to the quality of the product, technical knowledge from area sales manager and the back up support.

What does a typical day look like for a heating engineer?

A typical day will commence at 7:30am travelling to the first job of the day. Office opens at 8:30am so form this point the phones will be busy, emergency jobs may arise throughout the day and there may be a need to redirect to priority customers. Could be a leisure complex, crematorium, school, residential home or even a domestic property. The best part of the day is the varying works and meeting different people, no day is ever the same. The office closes at 5 pm however we also operate a out of hours emergency call out, we have a rota in place which changes on a weekly basis.

Whats the most useful bit of kit in your toolbox?

Whats your favourite Powrmatic product to install and why?

Floor standing cabients suich as CPX have always been a favourite, it may be due to the fast installation and limited working at height taking away the risk factor.

What does the future hold for you, and the HVAC industry as a whole?

There will be some changes for sure however this provides exciting opportunists and a chance for us to broaden our knowledge even further.
