Electric Warehouse Heating
Powrmatic supplied six LEC30 Electric Unit Heaters to provide an all-electric heating solution across three adjoining warehouse facilities. Installed by R Gas Heating Solutions Ltd, the project required an effective alternative to gas-fired heating due to the nature of products stored within the warehouses. Six 30 kW LEC units were installed, providing a combined 180 kW of electric heating capacity across the site.
The customer required a new heating solution across three adjoining warehouse facilities covering approximately 2,560m² in total. Two of the warehouses each cover 896m², while the third covers 768m². Due to the nature of certain chemical products stored within the buildings, the customer wanted to avoid gas-fired heating within the storage areas. A practical all-electric heating solution was therefore required to provide effective warmth across all three facilities.
Installed by R Gas Heating Solutions Ltd, the solution comprised six Powrmatic LEC30 Electric Unit Heaters, with two units serving each warehouse. The heaters were positioned at opposite ends of each building to encourage effective warm air distribution throughout the storage areas. Each LEC30 provides 30 kW of heating output, giving the complete installation a combined capacity of 180 kW across the 2,560m² site. As an all-electric solution, the LEC eliminates the requirement for a gas supply or flue system, while its suspended design keeps valuable warehouse floor space clear.
The completed installation provides fully electric heating across all three warehouses, comprising two 896m² facilities and one 768m² facility, with two LEC30 heaters dedicated to each building. With 180 kW of total heating capacity across 2,560m², the customer now has an effective electric alternative to gas-fired space heating within its storage areas. The project demonstrates the versatility of the Powrmatic LEC range for warehouses, storage facilities and industrial applications where electrification and effective space heating are key considerations.
