  • We would like to welcome Pat Ward to the Powrmatic Ilminster site. As of July 2019 Pat has been our new Operations Manager bringing on board a wealth of experience to the company that will help us prepare for the future.

  • “My new role is Operations Manager. My goal is to improve the manufacturing operations in areas of quality cost and delivery. I want to build a team that is completely focussed on improving customer service both internally and externally. To achieve this we need a TEAM (Together Everyone Achieves More) that is fully focussed on a Lean Enterprise creating value for the customer with minimal waste and processes.”

We asked Pat to answer some questions about himself to help us and you get to know him: 

Why did you decide to join Powrmatic?

‘The people, the brand, the industry.’

Before working at Powrmatic, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?

The most interesting job I had was project manager. Working at various sites within Europe on many different type of projects.

How do you have your cup of tea/coffee? 

‘Black Coffee’

If you could pick a new skill in an instant what would it be?

‘Speak another language fluently – French, Spanish’

How would you describe your job to a child? 

To help the company make money.’

What are you passionate about outside of work? 

‘Pool.  I play pool at a high level and recently played/captained the England team to win the world championships.’

What are you currently watching on Netflix?

‘Nothing currently but I do like Thrillers.’

Choose a movie title for the story of your life so far?

‘The good the bad the ugly.’

What are three things still left on your bucket list?

 ‘Visit Alcatraz, Vegas and drive Route 66’

What’s your secret talent that no one knows about?

‘I use to run for England School boys 800 and 1500mtrs. Many years ago.’
