ECA Scheme Changes
ECA Scheme Changes
As of Thursday 2nd August 2012, the criteria for warm air heaters to qualify for the Enhanced Capital Allowance (ECA) scheme, and for listing on the Energy Technology List (ETL) have changed.
This was further to the changes announced by the Chancellor of the Exchequer during his budget speech on 23rd March 2012.
The change now stipulates that warm air heaters must have a nett efficiency of no less than 101% in order to qualify.
The majority of our NVS Condensing Gas Unit Heater range (on-off model) meet the new nett efficiencies required for inclusion on the ETL.
Currently our development programme at Powrmatic is working to achieve these efficiencies across our other main product lines.
This is in expectation of a mandatory change to utilising condensing technology on all warm air heating appliances within the next two to three years.
If you have made a recent purchase and the product was listed on the ETL at the time of your purchase, then an ECA can be claimed.
