The 8,000+ft2, 10m-high purpose-built centre caters for all ages and climbing abilities, with tall walls, bouldering and action walls. Other amenities include a café, function rooms, shower facilities and classes.
Indoor rock climbing centre heating at Climbing The Walls’ new centre in Shrewsbury is being provided by a Powrmatic heating solution, specified and installed by Lindon Heating.
Indoor rock climbing centre heating for the climbing space is provided by two Powrmatic NVx suspended warm air heaters, supplied with a special white finish to complement the space, are mounted at high level. Because of the height of the building and the array of tall structures within it, the NVx heaters are combined with two Powrmatic CECx destratification fans to maintain even air distribution.
Climbing The Walls’ Andrew Donaldson commented: “Making sure that our customers are comfortable is clearly very important. The layout of the space makes it difficult to heat effectively but the Powrmatic solution from Lindon is proving very effective.
