SmarTrack is a multiple award-winning specialist in stolen vehicle tracking devices. The company’s new facility in Leicestershire accommodates product assembly and warehousing, as well as the company’s Secure Global Telemetrics Control Centre.
As part of a major renovation of old industrial units to create a new headquarters, vehicle and asset tracking specialist SmarTrack has installed Powrmatic’s Midea heat pump air conditioners, supplied by the Climate Control Division of Tidyco.
Five Midea heat pump inverter-controlled units have been installed in the offices, with another unit in the server room. Portable Midea air conditioners have also been supplied by Tidyco for use in the stock room.
“The renovated building needed to be very secure because of our control centre, so opening windows was not an option and air conditioning combined with heat recovery ventilation was essential,” recalled SmarTrack Managing Director James Mather. “We invited tenders from three companies and selected Tidyco on the basis of their ability to add value to the project within our budgets. As they use our trackers there was also an existing relationship, which was reassuring from a security perspective,” he continued.
James Mather continued:
”We have been very pleased with the units, which proved effective in supplying heating through the 2014/15 winter and are now keeping us comfortable during the hot summer weather.”
