Topps Tiles, Leicester

Project Brief:

Home improvement retailer Topps Tiles have taken possession of a 53,280m3 warehouse facility in Leicester.  A frost protection scheme was specified by consultants Chapman & Partners International.

Bruce Chapman, of CPi stated “Due to the necessity to provide heating to prevent the sprinkler system freezing, we required a solution using Powrmatic TE units to heat the building to approximately 8°C uniformally, to prevent frost damage at any point within the warehouse.”

The Powrmatic Powrmaster range was chosen, due to the low cost installation and operating costs involved.

Herbert Baggeley Contstruction Ltd (Main Contractor for this project) worked with Powrmatic in designing and installing the unit, on time and in budget.

Technical Information:

Powrmatic’s Powrmaster TEG41/M air rotation unit was specified to provide frost protection for this new warehouse facility in Leicester. The 190kW provides a superb frost protection solution for this 53,580m3 facility.

Manuplas, Plymouth

Project Brief:

Due to a process fire the existing heating system was replaced with the latest Powrmatic Suspended Gas Unit Heaters.
4 heaters in total were required with a total heat output of some 480kW.

Technical Information:

4 x NV120C Centrifugal heaters were specified to replace the old heating system.

Heaters included 90° turndown ducts and 4-way distribution heads to effectivey distribute the warm air throughout the premises.

Jay Plants, Braidwood

Project Brief:

To Replace an existing Powrmatic Heater in a demanding Horticultural environment.
The previous heater was over 20 years old. The end user specified Powrmatic because of the continued reliability over the past 20 years.

Technical Information:

Powrmatic’s CPO300/UF Oil Fired Cabinet heater was selected to replace the existing heater.
