A Powrmatic NVx suspended warm air heater has provided a car repair workshop heating solution for a 2,500m2 workshop of BP Rolls at West Portway, Andover, to improve comfort levels and ensure compliance with the latest regulations. It was installed by Andover Gas Engineers Ltd and replaced and an old floor-mounted heater in the workshop.
BP Rolls is one of the largest independent commercial and private vehicle repairers in the UK, with nearly 200 employees and sites in Andover and Newport. The company seeks to minimise any negative impact on the environment, so energy efficiency was a key criterion for the new heating.
“BP Rolls is very pleased with the improved comfort in the workshop and has also reduced its heating bills significantly due to the enhanced control.”
The new horizontally-flued NVx heater is sited at high level to comply with regulations and draws combustion air directly from the outside because of the gases and fine dust within the space. For optimum efficiency the NVx is connected to the existing building management system.
